Group Visits

This section provides information on group visits
the permanent exhibition.
Current Registration Period for Group Visits:
Accepting visit registrations until Tuesday, March 31, 2026 .
Please complete registration by 9:00 a.m., three days before your visit.
*Please note that registration procedures may change without notice depending on social conditions.

Eligible Groups
(Permanent Exhibition Only)

Eligible Groups

Groups that meet the following criteria are eligible for group visits. Please register your group via the Group Visit Registration Site (opens in a new tab).

School Group Visits

Kindergartens, certified childcare centers, nursery schools, elementary schools, junior high schools, compulsory education schools, high schools, secondary schools, and technical colleges, etc.
*In principle, limited to institutions based in Japan.

Groups Eligible for Exemption

Special needs schools, special needs classes, remote-area schools, and groups such as social welfare facilities for people with disabilities
*In principle, limited to institutions based in Japan.

Groups of 20 or More Visitors
Groups not covered above that wish to visit with 20 or more people

Group Visit Registration Process

1. Carefully Read "Requests for Group Visitors"    
  

All groups wishing to visit the museum are asked to review “Requests for Group Visitors” and the "Kahaku Group Visit Q&A." Group leaders are asked to inform and guide all group members about the visit in advance.

     *If you wish to conduct a preliminary visit, please refer to “School Visit Procedures”.     

2. Register on the "Group Visit Registration Site" by 9:00 a.m., three days before your visit.    
  

Please complete your group registration through the "Group Visit Registration Site" by 9:00 a.m., three days before your visit.
Registrations cannot be accepted by email, fax, or mail.
    

3. Check the Group Visit Registration Confirmation email sent to your registered email address.    
  

Please make sure to check the registration ID provided in the email.     

4.Print the National Museum of Nature and Science Use Confirmation Form from the URL provided in the email.    
5.Fill in the required information on the printed National Museum of Nature and Science Use Confirmation Form.    
  

Please refer to the example provided with the application form.     

6.Bring the National Museum of Nature and Science Use Confirmation Form with you on the day of your visit and submit it at the main entrance.

Notes for Group Visit Registration
  • Please ensure that you can receive emails from @kahaku.go.jp in advance.
  • If you do not receive the Group Visit Registration Confirmation email, please contact us at dantai@kahaku.go.jp.
  • If you do not bring your Use Confirmation Form, we will explain the important points on the day of your visit and ask you to sign the form. This may result in some delay before entry.
