Admission Information

  • To enter ComPaSS, you must make a reservation and pay the fee via ART PASS (external site). Please be sure to review the following information before applying.
  • For the safety of all visitors, date-specific reservations and payment are required in advance for everyone regardless of age or circumstances.
  • For ticket types and prices, please refer to “Age Categories and Admission Fees”.
  • A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address after your order has been processed. Please check your e-mail.
  • After your purchase is confirmed and the QR ticket is issued, you cannot change the ticket type or adjust the number of tickets.

Age Categories and Admission Fees

ComPaSS is an exhibition area designed for children (ages 0 to elementary school age) to enjoy together with their guardians (18 years or older). Please do not enter the exhibition with children alone or adults alone. For the safety of all visitors, date-specific reservations and payment are required in advance for everyone, from children aged 0 to adults.

  • You can reserve for up to 6 people per booking. However, each guardian can accompany up to 3 children.
  • Admission fee to the National Museum of Nature and Science is required separately.
    (JPY630 for general and University students / Free for high school students and younger, and those 65 and older)
  • Admission is free for persons with disabilities, atomic bomb survivors, wounded and sick retired soldiers, and one caregiver per person. Please present an eligible certificate or other applicable documents *1 at ComPaSS reception.
  • Acceptable forms of identification include: physical disability certificate, rehabilitation certificate, psychiatric disability welfare certificate (disability certificate app also accepted), certificate of recipient of disability welfare services, certificate of recipient of medical care for independence support, certificate of recipient for day care (or residential care), certificate of recipient for specified medical expenses (designated intractable diseases), atomic bomb survivor certificate, and war-wounded and sick veteran certificate.

    * Junior high and High school students cannot enter as guardians or children.

How to enter the ComPaSS

  • Please come to the ComPaSS reception desk on the third floor of the Global Gallery with all members of your group.
  • Please show your QR ticket.
    • You can show the QR ticket from the reservation/purchase email on your smartphone or bring a printout.
  • Visitors are not allowed to switch in or out once admitted.

Ticket cancellation and changing date

  • Reservations to ComPaSS can be canceled or changed through ART PASS web site.
  • You cannot cancel over the phone call or at the reception desk in the museum.
  • After your purchase is confirmed and the QR ticket is issued, you cannot change the ticket type or adjust the number of tickets.

Cancellation

  • You can cancel up to the day before your reservation date (23:59).
    • A refund fee of 100 yen per paid ticket will be charged.
    • If you are unable to enter due to unavoidable circumstances, please cancel in advance so that other families can enter.

Change date

  • Tickets reserved in advance can be changed until 9:00 on the day of the reservation.
    • There is no fee for changing the date and time.
    • Tickets can be changed up to 5 times. (However, only if there is a vacancy available on the date and time that can be specified.)

Reservation Information

  • Reservations for the next month open at noon on the 1st of each month.(Example: Reservations for April open at noon on March 1.)
  • If there is availability on the day, reservations and ticket purchases for each session can be made through ART PASS up to 10 minutes after the session start time.(Credit card payment only.)
  • Reservations must be made by the person visiting on the day.
  • Before booking, please confirm the number of visitors and the desired date/time.
  • If any changes occur after booking, please cancel or change your reservation date/time within the designated period by yourself.
  • In case of payment errors, please check with your credit card company.
  • Reselling or listing the QR code on auction sites or other sales platforms is strictly prohibited.
