Research Field

Biodiversity studies of meiofauna (microscopic benthic animals), particularly scalidophorans, focusing on taxonomy, phylogeny, and evolution.

Research Contents

Tiny animals, often barely visible to the naked eye, inhabit the surfaces and interstitial spaces of rocks and sediments on the bottoms of oceans, rivers, and lakes. My research focuses on these microscopic benthic animals, collectively known as meiofauna (or meiobenthos), with the aim of elucidating their biodiversity, ecology, morphology, and evolution.
