Supporting Members' Gratitude Festival, Part 1: Activity Report on the Use of Supporting Membership Fees

賛助会感謝祭2023‐01

The "Supporting Members' Gratitude Festival 2023" was held as an opportunity to report on the activities carried out by the museum thanks to the generous support of all our Supporting Members.

Following last year, the event was held in a hybrid format, consisting of an online broadcast accessible to all members, and an in-person attendance option for a limited number of members.

In Part 1, we reported on the activities funded by Supporting Membership fees across three categories: "Projects for enhancing youth interest in natural science," "Events coordinated with regional museums," and "Creation, purchase, preservation, and restoration of specimen materials."

Supporting Members' Gratitude Festival, Part 2: Researcher Special Talk

In the second part of the festival, held on the 3rd floor of the Global Gallery, a museum researcher introduced the "Yoshimoto Collection" and the "Pink Diamond - Argyle Library Egg" which was on display at the time of the festival.

Guests were able to view the exhibits up close while asking questions to the researcher. The event was enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere, with the researcher sharing behind-the-scenes stories in their answers.

We are planning a video stream of Part 2 exclusively for Supporting Members. If you were unable to attend in person, we hope you will enjoy the atmosphere of the day through the video.
