Press Preview Held for the Special Exhibition "Ancient DNA"

The Special Exhibition "Ancient DNA: The Journey of the Japanese People" opened on March 15th.

We held a press preview on March 14th, ahead of the public opening. Despite the early time on a weekday, we were delighted by the attendance of so many Supporting Members. This marked the highest attendance for a preview since we resumed holding them following the interruption caused by the pandemic. We are deeply motivated by the high level of interest and anticipation shown by our Supporting Members.

It was a great pleasure to see guests intently exploring the exhibits while listening to the audio guide, and enjoying cheerful conversations about the displays with their companions.

The Special Exhibition "Ancient DNA" runs until June 15th. It covers a vast scope, both chronologically—from the Paleolithic to the Kofun periods—and geographically—from the southern islands to the northern lands. This offers a variety of perspectives for everyone to enjoy. We sincerely hope you will take the opportunity to visit the exhibition.
