Feature and Habit
Body shape is similar to that of Pantropical spotted dolphin, but they are a little stouter than they are. Ventral edge of the cape is blurred by the flame from the head behind the dorsal fin.The ventral side is whitish rather than gray.As they grow up, the spots increase and the background color is obscured.Color of the tail stock is not clearly demarcated as dark gray dorsally and light gray ventrally. The stripe at the flipper is clearly separated from the upper part by thin white line. The number of the vertebrae is (are) 70.Tooth counts ranges 32-42 in each upper jaw, 30-40 in each lower jaw. In general, they inhabit in offshore waters. They are in small pods or in large pods of hundreds of dolphins.
