Feature and Habit
Their body is robust, but the head, the mouth, the flippers and the flukes are relatively small. They have projecting keels on dorsal and ventral ridges of the tail stock. The body color is demarcated distinctly into white and black. Dall’porpoises have 23-28 teeth in each upper jaw, and 22-26 each lower jaw. They inhabit in offshore waters. They also occur in coastal areas where it is deep. They are in pods of several porpoises.
