KAHAKU Exploration! [In-Person Program]
Program Overview
| Duration | 20 minutes *Please plan for at least one hour of viewing time for the permanent exhibition in addition to the program duration. *A wrap-up session (10 minutes) can be held inside the museum after the tour. |
| Capacity | Up to 120 people *Participant numbers may be limited depending on venue availability. |
| Content | This guidance session is designed to help you view the exhibitions more effectively.
It includes talks using real specimens, tips on how to appreciate the exhibits, and important notes for your visit. *Please note that visitors will not be accompanied by volunteers or staff members during the exhibition tour. |
| Objectives | ◎ Enhance interest and engagement in viewing exhibits through close-up experiences with actual artifacts.
◎ Enhance observation and expression skills through Museum Card-guided viewing. |

Example Usage
STEP1 Introduction (Conducted by Volunteer or Staff) 20 minutes
① Listen to staff talk using actual artifacts to increase interest and engagement in viewing the exhibits.② Learn how to use the Museum Card and tips for viewing exhibits.
③ Understand the museum visit rules.
STEP2 Exhibit Tour (60+ minutes)
① Find exhibits they find interesting or intriguing, observe them closely, and record their observations on the Museum Card.* Volunteers or staff will not accompany the group during this time.
STEP3 Wrap-Up (Conducted by volunteers or staff) 10 minutes

Program Overview

| Content | After our staff member (School Outreach Coordinator) introduces the museum's work, we will answer questions from the children. *Please note: We do not conduct interviews with Research Department staff. We will answer questions about “museum work” and “people who work at museums.” |
| Objectives | ◎ Deepen interest, understanding, and appreciation for museums by learning about their activities and societal role—aspects often unclear through viewing alone.
◎ Broaden perspectives on personal life paths and career choices by hearing directly from museum professionals, inspiring motivation for current life. |

- If the number of participants significantly exceeds 15, please contact us separately.

Students participating in the “Museum Job Interview” program must submit the following two points as a group before your visit.Please email these by 10 days prior to your visit date. The submission format will be sent upon reservation confirmation.

The Secrets of Bird Beaks[In-Person Program]
Program Overview
| Duration | 45 minutes *Please plan to allow at least one hour for viewing the permanent exhibition in addition to the program duration. |
| Capacity | Maximum 40 participants per session |
| Content | Observe bird skull specimens and use everyday tools to deduce the structure and function of beaks, their diet, and the environments they inhabit. |
| Objectives | ◎ By focusing on birds commonly seen in daily life and observing their external feature—the beak—participants will learn to consider the connection between bodily function, feeding methods, and habitat. |

| Content | Learn about the structure of the human body in a fun way by assembling a disassembled human skeletal model. |
| Objectives | ◎ By assembling a disassembled skeleton specimen, participants gain a three-dimensional understanding of the “skeleton”—a structure often difficult to visualize—while also focusing attention on their own bodies. |
