Museum Internship Programs
Internship Content and Eligibility
We offer two courses: Course A focuses primarily on practical training in research, investigation, and the collection and storage of materials, while Course B focuses primarily on learning support activities.
Eligibility
Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a University Partnership member institution who aim to acquire the curatorial license and have successfully completed the course "Introduction to Museums" by the academic year preceding the internship.
Course A is, in principle, reserved for science majors (Rikei students).
Public recruitment for students outside the Partnership member institutions will only be conducted if the enrollment capacity is not met. In that event, the application details will be posted on the museum's homepage.
Internship Duration
9 days, including one full day of group training (Equivalent to at least 1 credit hour of Museum Internship).
Program Fee
A training fee of ¥12,480 will be collected. The fee for students from University Partnership member institutions is ¥7,250.
Main Flow from Internship Acceptance to Completion

Internship Implementation. A Certificate of Participation will be sent after the internship is completed. |
Students who wish to participate in an internship at our museum must first contact the academic affairs department or the designated Museum Internship Coordinator at their affiliated university.
