| The White-beaked dolphin is large among the species of the genus Lagenorhynchus. The dorsal fin is high and falcated. The flippers are slightly curved. The beak is usually white or whitish gray. The dorsal and lateral sides are dark gray. The dorsal fin is black. The flippers are dark gray and continuous with the lateral body. Each teeth row is 22-28. They inhabit in offshore waters. They are in small pods of several dolphins. Sometimes they are in large pod of as many as 1500 dolphins. |
