Sirip perut hampir terpisah; tidak terdapat saluran sensor dan pori-pori; gigi pada kedua rahang satu baris; mata menonjol di atas profil kepala bagian atas; sebuah cekungan kulit menempel pada setengah bagian bawah mata; garis hitam hampir dibagian pinggiran sirip punggung.
