Cetraria delisei
belongs to fruticose lichens and grows on slightly damp grounds in high altitude. It grows gregariously to form a large stock. The thallus with white pseudocyphellae is brownish and stands upright(4-8 cm tall with the width of 3-5 mm). The base is slightly wide and flat, holding short branches that divide irregularly. Its tip is crested. It contains hyascic acid and gyrophoric acid as chemical substances.
It is widely distributed in the high latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere. But in Japan, it was found only in Mt. Daisetsu, Hokkaido.
