Opening Hours During Typhoon Approaches
  • If public transportation services such as the Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line to and from Ueno Station are scheduled to be suspended on the afternoon of the opening day, the museum will be temporarily closed approximately two hours before the scheduled suspension time in consideration of the safety of visitors returning home.
  • If suspension of service is scheduled for the following morning by the previous day, the museum may be temporarily closed.
  • When the start time of the suspension of service is confirmed, we will announce the closing time via announcements and notices within the museum.
  • New visitors will not be admitted 30 minutes before the temporary closing time.
  • Please note that admission fees will not be refunded due to the temporary closure.
