Introduction

The photosynthesis – the ability to create organic compounds from water and carbon dioxide using solar energy – has led plants to become the presence that supports life on our planet.

Plants evolved from the same protobiont as mankind, developing into a biome that spread into a variety of environments on earth, covering a larger area of land than any other form of life. They are also something that gives us pleasure and enjoyment, with their fresh greens, colorful fall leaves and flowers through the seasons. We may hold an image of plants remaining still and stationary, unlike animals. However, the latest scientific studies have begun to reveal an active habit far beyond our imaginations.

This is the first large-sale exhibition to introduce plants comprehensively. Through it, we will examine their incredible existence and attraction, based on the latest research reports, using samples, models, movies and installations. We hope that this exhibition brings you to a renewed appreciation of plants, and that it deepens your interest and curiosity about plants.
