Body relatively elongate, compressed. Posterior margin of preopercle serrate. Suborbital naked, with smooth ventral margin. Teeth on jaws biserial, incisor-like. Caudal fin emarginate; no conspicuous projecting spine-like rays at upper and lower edges of caudal-fin base. Color: head and body bright blue; anal fin yellow with blue line and/or dots; ventral part of caudal fin with a black streak. Size: 5.0 cm SL. Distribution: Andaman Sea. Remarks: found in inshore areas and outer reed slopes with rubbles.
