Body ovate, compressed. Posterior margin of preopercle smooth. Suborbital naked, with entire ventral free margin. Teeth on jaws biserial, those in outer row incisor-like. Caudal fin emarginated; no conspicuous projecting spine-like rays at upper and lower edges of caudal-fin base. Color: ground color of head and body grayish sky or pale olive gray, paler ventrally; each scale with some minute blue dots; anus black. Size: 8.0 cm SL. Distribution: Indo-Pacific. Remarks: found in very shallow inshore area and intertidal reef flats.
