If we do not get such records of them in the shape of photographs and specimens, a hundred years hence many will have disappeared entirely.

The plant hunter and botanist Ernest Henry Wilson collected more than 5,000 plant specimens in Japan and photographed more than 1,300. Tokyo was the base for his travels in Japan. Through his photos and researches, we hope you will learn much about the changes in the scenery and trees of Tokyo over the last 100 years and the achievements of this great man.Exhibition
